Baba Muktananda
When I was twenty one Baba Muktananda hit me on the head with some peacock feathers. He did this to a lot of people. It was done to open up our spiritual center. Or something to that effect.

I showed his book, which had his picture on the cover, to my then under one year old son. "This is Baba," I told him. I said nothing else to my son about Baba. Nor was my son exposed to anything about Baba. Six months to a year later I asked my son who Baba was. He said, "Baba is light."

Baba has passed on. An associate of mine saw him, psychically, on the Astral plane, taking on the image of a monkey, playing in the trees. I think Baba wants people to have fun.

One of the things I remember him saying is that we all try to attain God and we are God. That correlates with "We are already our Ascended Self," something from my dogma.

Before Baba left he passed the Siddha Yoga path on to a sister and brother team. He stated at the time that they were not Masters, but that they were the best people for the job. Soon after, the brother parted. The sister has gone on, leading the followers of that path. Ten years ago I saw several pictures of her. In each of them she was wearing a different hat. I know how long it takes to buy a hat. One has to be pretty focused on fashion to put that much energy into hats. In a recently viewed picture of her she is hatless. She is also referred to as a Master. I can't figure out when the title of Master was bestowed upon her. Nor who was in a position to bestow it. Can it be self accredited? I wonder about the hat thing and the Master thing. I bring those things up because by referring anyone to Baba, I am in a way referring them to Siddha Yoga. I'm not comfortable with doing the latter.

In the meantime, connecting with Baba is an inspiring thing to do. It is also something that brings a smile to my face.

Dali Lama
If someone looks at a picture of the Dali Lama, reads his words, or listens to him speak, without smiling, something is wrong. I keep a picture of the Dali Lama above my desk. I am not a Tibetan Buddhist. I'm not a Buddhist. At least not in this lifetime. However one does not have to be a Buddhist to be inspired by one of the greatest Spirits in body at this time.
An English comic was doing an appearance on some late night talk show and was asked about his visit with the Dali Lama. He stated that he was nervous about it before it happened. He was wasn't sure what he would say. He then went on to tell that when the meeting actually occurred, he and the Dali Lama just laughed.
This first link is my favorite because it has the most material regarding the Dali Lama available. The Dali Lama

This second link is the Dali Lama's prescription, or directive, to obtain happiness. It is inspiring.
Dali Lama's Message for Life

This is a link to the Friends of Tibet. The Dali Lama is in exile. The Chinese Government took over Tibet. I believe that until the Dali Lama is back in Tibet, the world is in trouble. When Sadam Hussein invaded Kuwait, the U.S. freaked. Yet we ignore the invasion of Tibet. Is oil more important to us then Spiritual Peace? Help these people.
Friends of Tibet

This link is to the website of the Tibetan Government in Exile. There are lots of statements made by the Dali Lama on a number of subjects on this site. Good works all.
The Tibetan Government in Exile

The final link is the Dali Lama's message for the new millenium. Heed his words. He succinctly tells us where our focus must be if we are to save the planet. If we are not all working on this now, who we are sleeping, how much money we have or what work we are doing for that money with will have little meaning. We all have a choice.

Light Workers

Seth

It has been so long since I looked at any of the Seth work. While putting this page up I realized what a strong role Seth and Jane Roberts played on my path. I cannot say that it was about following instructions given, I wasn't that into it. What the Seth works did do for me is help me remember that we are spirit and we are guided. This link provides continueing thoughts, expansion of the original works. I would suggest The Oversoul Seven Trilogy, though this link will help you understand the direction of the work.

Another interesting link is to the organization that provides the entire works. If you like the Education of Oversoul Seven, you may want to check this link out.

Ram Das

Ram Das's first book, Be Here Now, started many of us on a path of exploration of spirituality outside of strictly western religions. One of his later books, How Can I Help, is right after my own heart. So few New Age practices or leaders speak to the need for works of compassion and charity. In fact so many are primarily about "me." Ram Das's path is well chronicled and a light for all of us.

Starhawk
In addition to being a great writer, (one of my favorite books is Truth or Dare), Starhawk's work is inspiring. I do not agree with her total philosophy, yet I am so grateful that she has done as much as she has to help us turn back to The Mother. She is an extremely responsible peace activist who has brought many of the inconsistencies of current national and world politics and western culture to light. Margaret Mead, the anthropologist once said that a few conscientious people can change the world. Starhawk takes that a step further and shows us that one fearless woman can so so as well. If you care what happens to this planet, please familiarize yourself with her work and take advantage of the resources she has contributed.

Dane Rudhyar and Isabel Hickey are the two most important astrologers of our time. Their Books are the works that defined soul centered and humanistic astrology. We now live in a truly transformative time, and it is their work that allowed Astrology to be one of the most effective tools helping us to live up to and through this era.

Light Tools
First, there's the soundtrack. You may have heard of the Music of Spheres. Mozart heard it and then wrote it out. So did Hayden and Debussey. The music being produced on that level today is much different. There are two musicians I know of who are performing it. They are; Sarah West and Iasos

Did you know that in dreams our homes represent our conciousness? If we look at our homes, we can often see just what work we have to do. I'm in big trouble here. I've been working on this. My teacher used to talk about the beauty of space. I so agree with her. She advised that it was inappropriate to use our homes to store memorable items. "Keep your memories in a box," she would say.

Lately I've been reading up on Feng Shui, (pronounced Fung Sway). It is a very intricate system. The websites that deal with Feng Shui are dismal. It concerns me that people supposedly concerned with design make such ugly cluttered sites. Despite that, it is important work and making sure that our homes reflect both our spirit and our desire to grow is important. This first link is all about clearing out the negative. It suggests using cypress for part of the ritual. Cypress is a clean scent. If cypress cannot be found, I think white sage would work as well. Anyway, here is the link to a Space Clearing Ritual

Once you have that done, you may want to make sure that your bathroom is not in the relationship corner of your home. If it is, all the energy that helps create and maintain loving relationships is getting drained away. You could fix that, using Feng Shui principles. The picture here is of a Baqua, which is actually a map. If you superimpose ot over the layout of your home, with the Career area at the entrance, you can se4 where the different areas of life fall within the layout of your structure. There's a lot more to it, this will at least give you an idea if you may be in need of some Feng Shui fixes.

Ok, the music is playing, the house is in order, now we get to the work. The first stage is knowing thyself. Lot's of people teach manifesting and/or creating our own reality without recognizing that there is a lot of chatter going on inside that needs to be cleared. That clatter may not even be heard. It could be on a subconscious level. Often times it can be heard by the subconscious of those we are in or out of relationship with. Our subconscious and theirs may be carrying on a whole destruct dialogue. Our conscious mind has no clue. We call psychics to find out what's going on. Astrology gives us the tools to understand just what those un-heard conversations are all about.

To begin with, creating charts is not a hard thing to do. I use Astrolog, a free software program that is easy to use and creates all kinds of charts.

You can also get a wide range of charts and free reports, (though these are computer written, so I have limited faith in them), at Astro.com.

Once you have your charts, and you've done a little reading to figure out what to do with them, you'll need an ephemeris to see what planet is doing what to what other planet. Here is a free Online Ephemeris.

There is also a system in Astrology call Astrocartography which is an invaluable source for discovering which stars shine the brightest in what localities on the planet. I HIGHLY recommend having your Astrocartography Chart done.

Finally, in regards to Astrology, one of my favorite programs is Lunabar. It isn't free, but it's under twenty dollars. It puts the current moon cycle and sign symbols in your computer tool bar. It allows you to look up coming or past moon cycles and signs. It also has a sun sign and postion indicator with sunrise and sunset times! It's a free download, so you have the opportunity to see if you really want it before purchasing it from Clysmic.com

Light Work

Once we know ourselves, we can begin the healing process. Inner Child Healing will help us do just that.

There maybe some more work to do. Here is a resource with lots of healing, and creating, opportunites; Sounds True

Once we clear the old, it's time to create the new. My teacher, Lisa deLongchamps, offered a lot of information. Strange de Jim put his book Visioning online. Within that work, all the tools we need to create a life of ecstatic aliveness and peace can be found.

If my teacher is not your teacher, there are others. One of my favorite organizations is Psychic Horizons, a school and church in San Francisco. In addition to wonderful services, they actually have a Manifesting Meditation Workbook online. You'll need Adobe's Acrobat Reader
Another one of my favorites, which focuses on relationships is the Living Love Center

Additionally, I often explain to my clients that a sure way to break creative blocks, whether for works of art or creating a positive cash flow, is to draw a Mandala. Some people have not heard of Mandalas before. There is one pictured here, and two additional examples, here and here.

Escaping and Playing are just as important as all of the above. Gaiam.com, Inc offers some wonderful escapes and is a great place to shop. If it's just a movie you want to see, Spiritual Cinema offers some truly heart warming films.

For something a little more main stream, The Gift is a movie that is very realistic in terms of how a psychic works. Clairvoyancy is rarely clear.

In case Seth didn't boggle your mind enough, try getting a grasp on "reality" through What the "Bleep" Do We Know?

Light Work for the Body
If you thought we were going to get out of working on the body, guess what? Here we go!

The body holds the key to so much of our transformation. When I say that we have to get things on a "cellular" level, I mean just that.

My path has included several different forms of body work. For the heavy stuff, nothing strips away the lies about ourselves that the body holds better than Rolfing

I am also a big fan of Bioenergetics. This physical therapuetic system is very effective for releasing patterns and emotions stored in the body.

For ongoing keep the body in shape and balanced, I recommend Tai Chi and Psychocalisthenics

My favorite passive body work, the kind where one just lays there, is Polarity Massage. Getting body work done has to be done selectively. One wants to make sure that the person one is working with is clear.

The greatest healer I ever worked with was a man named Otto. I have no idea where Otto is, nor do I remember his full name. I do remember the work he did. To this day, I do not know if the power was in the work or him. I suspect it was a combination of both. Though I cannot refer you to Otto, I can refer to the technique he used. Powerful stuff. Craniosacral Therapy

Light Places
If you are looking for a light place to go and be with good people, Esalen is a beautiful and nurturing place. There are always great workshops, or you can just go to get away.

Another place I highly recommend is Unity Churches. You can probably find one near you through the link. Unity does a lot of light work, including The Course in Miracles. Good people and good company.

The paths and tools listed on this page are mine. Some of them may be yours. If you are still searching you will find what you are ready for. When I was in the San Francisco Bay Area, I often consulted Common Ground. Though the resources listed there are found in that location, some stretch out to other areas. It's an inspiring directory.
